Chicken with White Wine Cream Sauce

Chicken with white wine cream sauce is such a tasty summer dinner option! When Dave suggested this meal I knew it’d be a great one. This meal is perfect for so many summer night options. Are you looking for a quick dinner during the week–chicken with white wine sauce. Are you trying to impress a girl—chicken with white wine sauce.  Are you excited to catch up on your Netflix show–chicken with white wine sauce. Although I’m not sure quite why this meal would make your Netflix better but I’m sure it can’t hurt.

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of Cooking oil or Ghee
  • 1 cup medium dry – dry white wine (Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, etc)
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
  • 1/2 small yellow onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Xantham Gum (optional)
  • 2 Chicken breasts (est. 8 oz each)
  • 4 oz Mushrooms
  • Chopped Parsley (Optional for Garnish)

Chicken with White Wine Cream Sauce

  1. Slice Mushrooms about 1/4 inch thick.  Dice Onion.  Flatten the chicken breasts between two sheets of Saran wrap or in a large gallon ziplock bag.  Pound the chicken to about 1/2 inch thick using a Meat Mallet or a heavy skillet.  Be careful not to hit to hard and tear the chicken.
  2. Heat a skillet to Med-High heat.  Once hot add cooking oil followed by the chicken breasts. Brown on each side.  This should take about 2 minutes per side.  Remove the chicken from the heat and drop the temperature to medium.
