FRIED ASPARAGUS WITH SPICY MAYO DIP

A low carb and keto friendly version of deep fried asparagus, with a parmesan cheese and almond flour breading. Easy to make on the stovetop or in a deep fryer.

Ingredients
  • 10 fresh asparagus spears
  • vegetable oil for frying

Egg Wash:
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Breading:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/3 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

Dip:
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne


FRIED ASPARAGUS WITH SPICY MAYO DIP

Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, stir together all dip ingredients until well-mixed. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Trim the asparagus spears by cutting off the tough woody ends so you’re left with about 6 inches. Rinse and dry them.
